Builder of 2 World Championships winning decks and 6-time National Champion of Pokémon TCG reveals the secrets of metagame, rogue and secret decks.
It's still not confirmed. Why bother discussing it?
Like I said, it's not confirmed. No need discussing it. If you're trying to be a reputable source of Pokemon tcg info, you should probably refrain from posting unconfirmed information from "anonymous sources."
You are correct! And the anonymous source was the Finnish TCG Admin, so it really wasn't that anonymous... He just read the e-mail incorrectly since he isn't that into Pokémon TCG. Maybe it's better for me to stop playing Pokebeach.com and just concentrate on playing!
If this mean the national winners will not get a travel award then I'm against it. Because getting a lot of Championship points depends a lot on how many tournaments you will/can go to.If this say it's a extra award I like this because it give more people the change to go to Worlds
I'm not sure that this will mean a lot to US players. Those with the most CPs are those that did well at worlds or those that are going to do well at nats. I think they should just give out a travel stipend to the top 8 here in the US for nats.
Bauke Wijnsma: I completely agree. If this is true, I would have hoped PCI to at least inform us earlier about it. However, let's hope that this is only an addition to the Nationals Travel Awards!Anonymous2: I think in the U.S. things go often differently compared to the Europe, so I wouldn't be surprised even if it would stay the same. But as it seems that officials have gotten the info (one of them denied this news as a false fact, so they probably have the info already), I think the official day is only days away. Nonetheless, PCI is late once again since first Nationals are already beginning in two weeks...
"I believe this will apply to every country"Why ?
At least in history the travel award systems have been similar in every country. I don't see that they would change it in Finland and not in other European countries. The U.S. on the other hand is probably one of the only countries that can make the exception.
Players should have been told earlier. I have a player who qualified a couple of months ago. So in the last few tournaments he has been testing different decks without worrying so much about how well he did. Now we see that those tournaments could make the difference... And it is confirmed for the nordic countries at any rate. We got the email from the distributor today.
I do not agree with that. If you tell something like this at the start of the season, people will start to scoop to players with a lot of points... This happened before so I think they made the right decision. It's sad for your player, but it's better for the game in general.
And even more important: It is great to see players testing different decks in a format full of boring decks. People often forget that having fun is the main goal of this game...
