How Finnish players prepare for Worlds: Part 1

Hyvinkää - my home town. Miska's house is about 15mins away from Hyvinkää.

It still a tough game ahead for Mewtwo EX/Darkrai EX
Miska has an own pool on their back yard! A few Finnish players enjoying the summer.

Mahjong - a very popular game among Finnish Pokémon TCG players.
Klinklang is only set-upping! Also, as you can see, there are chess pieces on the table.

There is nothing better than a pizza made on a pan over a camp fire. It was delicious!

A remarkable part of Finnish Pokémon TCG history.

My favorite past time, along Pokémon TCG - Go. The game is 100% skill, 0% luck, so it brings a balance.
(I'm playing with Black stones by the way)

A cool Butter(free?)

Traditional Finnish breakfast (j/k)

No camp without music.

I would love to have one of these on my back yard!

All day, all night - Pokémon.

Anything goes as long as it's done on a camp fire.

Miska's back yard is big enough for a lot of tents!

I have no idea what this game is, but it looks pretty complicated!

If you didn't recognize me, I'm the only guy on the left side of the table, who doesn't have a hat on!

Daybreak.

A real country house.

Traditional Finnish summer food, sausage, Karelian pasty and bacon strips!

    1. What happened here was 3 handi game. White lost the fight in the lower right corner so he tried to secure the center. Black played random move to center and ran with his dragon while White was trying to kill it but didn't manage to do so. In the end White won by 16.5 points.

  10. That game with enormous amounts of cards on the table is Civilization. It took 3 hours to set it up and one game took 4 hours. Even so one of the best games I've played.

  11. Anonymous1: As I said in my last entry, I have put The Deck Out goes global on hold (at least for a while). I don't know yet, when I'm going to continue it.

Zarmakuizz: Haha, so you caught my pun there :D

Anonymous2: What he said. It was a pretty difficult game for me since I was the player playing with handicap.

Youngster: Yeah, it's always one of our highlights of the summer! It not only looks delicious, it was delicious!

    darkwing34: Haha, cool!

Matt91: Yeah, Mahjong is a cool game, even though I'm not very good at it.

    Adam: Glad you enjoyed them!

Matijslax: Wow, what's the name in English?:D

Anonymous4: Haha, in fact usually there are lots of Pokémon girls in the Miska camp but most of them have quitted the game : (

Thanks for comments everyone! I'll be taking more pictures from our preparation camp in two weeks.

  13. Isn't the Mewtwo EX Full Art from the second image a fake card?
Lol, anyway, it's good to see you don't mind if people waste a lot of money or not in one card.

  14. Eksyin lukemaan kaikkia Pokemon juttuja ja niitä kautta eksyin sun blogiin. Kiva nähdä ja kuulla, että on paljon pelaajia. Onnea kaikille kisoihin! (: T: Hanna Uimonen
